There is absolutely no doubt that sex sells like nothing else on the planet and is the most searched item on the Internet. Designer Arun Kumar Francis has taken that obsession a step further and nailed it quite stylishly on the living room in the form of a cool little bookshelf. The bold and innovative design borrows quite obviously from the three letter word and the design has a very uncomplicated and ergonomic feel about it. You can of course store all kinds of books in there, but maybe a version of the ‘Kamasutra’ would go perfectly with all the sexiness in the air. Isn’t it?

Shaped as a tree branch, this supposed bookshelf looks like a part from a super tree that managed to grow through your walls. With an unique and simple design inspired by the nature this branch not only supports books or objects, but it can also as be used as a clothing rack. This piece was designed after the designers ( Wokmedia ) went to work in Sri Lanka, and they experienced a culture shock. They wanted to take a reminder of the feeling of the flooded environment home so they transformed the image of “partially submerged trees” into shelves. Now if you want a creative way to store your books, you can try to find a sturdy branch like the one above and set up your own branch shelf. – Via

I don’t know why but after I’ve published the 30 of the Most Creative Bookshelves Designs it seems that everyday I find more and more creative bookshelves ideas. For example here is a very interesting bookshelf design named Plusline and was designed by Måns Salomonsen. Personally I like the design, but I would like a bigger one, to be able to store more books, not just a few magazines, and a few little objects.

Over the time you’ve seen a lot of bookshelves on Freshome, but what I’ve found today is really impressive. I was browsing Flickr and I found this beautiful example of organizing books by color and the smart guy that managed to do it, is user chotda. This is a very good way of changing the whole aspect of a bookshelf with a little bit of creativity. I guess you’ll have to pay more attention to the book’s cover from now on if you want to reproduce that effect and have your own rainbow bookshelf.
