Until now we saw a lot of multi functional pieces of furniture but nothing like this before. This ingenious storage system doubles as a giant LED clock, so you’ll actually be getting some utility out of an otherwise single-purpose bookshelf. The oversize clock conceals red 7-segment LED displays for each digit in the edges of the storage cubes. Measuring in at a 28 (w) x 14 (h) x 5 (d), you certainly won’t miss the time on this clock. A really unique way to know what time it is …and I’m sure that this clock would look awesome in the dark, just try to imagine. Despite not being able in the US ( Hong Kong manufacturer, Anka ), it’s good inspiration for a little DIY project! - Via - Technabob

This beautiful combination of glass and bent, dubbed The Wave Bookcase, was designed by Leonardo Emiliozzi for the Italian furniture manufacturer Urbinati. With aluminum feet and made of crystal and straight or curved plywood, the cabinet comes in two heights and widths, both allowing custom positioning of the shelves. Can’t say if they’re solid enough to keep all your books but unless it’s very expensive, the wave bookcase should be a great addition to your modern office or living-room. That if you love glass. - via Contemporist

This contemporary bookcase from Dar en Art that looks like a snowflake is something really interesting, especially if you want a bookcase that has an original design. In this picture the white design with clean lines, near that green plant, and that white & blue chair looks awesome, I hope that in reality this bookcase will look the same. This piece has a diameter of 140cm and is available in white or black, and provides a creative method for the organization of your items. Pricing is available upon request at Dar en Art. - Via
Later edit : The designer of this bookcase ( Younes ) is actually a reader of this blog, and left a comment and asked me to link to his website, and I’m glad to do this for him. Thanks again Younes from Extru-D !

We presented a few months ago a project by Antonio Lupi, the Boat-Shaped Bathtub, and today here is another interesting project named Biblio. Biblio by Antonio Lupi is a Corian Rectangular bathtub, complete with back rest and automatic drainage and combined bath spout and overflow, that incorporates a generous book-case for your bathroom reading. Personally I don’t think that keeping books in your bathroom is a good idea, but who knows maybe there are people who think this is useful. Now for those who love this idea, I think that this Clever Bath Organiser would be very useful for the Biblio Bathtub. The tub is made of resin, wood and it adorns a special price tag of approx. $17,300! - Via - Bornrich

If you would like to be a little more unique or nonconformist about how you store your books you can check out the modular Cloud Bookcase. The design might appear a little bit unusual, compared to a traditional bookcase, but remember you wanted something unique. The Cloud Bookcase provides neat little circular compartments to store the books, or other items. Made of white polyethylene, the Cloud Bookcase is now available in white, green (both light and dark) and red versions. The really neat thing about this case is that to accommodate your growing catalogue, you may choose to expand this by adding more and more units. This is managed by joining the components made by a rotational technique with means of snap-on clips. You can buy this bookcase from here. - Via - Thedesignblog
