I know that the main purpose of a bed is the comfort, but this bed is not just comfortable it has a purpose, and a great design. The Air Lounge System is a beautiful piece of furniture with a futuristic touch designed by talian designer Fabio Novembre. Rounded shape and “open air” design make them look like something from the aero space industry. This bed had everything to fit perfectly in a modern house : futuristic shape, with round corners, leather, and those glass legs make it seems that is suspended in the air. – Via – Woohome

Jake Chop Shop is a company that creates interesting pieces of furniture by using pieces of cars. As you can see from the pictures below, the pink one is the 1960 Chevy Impala Bed, and I can say that it looks very good compared with an old boring bed. The bed also has storage space in engine compartment, just open the hood. This kind of custom furnitures is completely innovative concept in home furnishing and decor, and I’m pretty sure that a talented interior designer would create an awesome bedroom with this kind of furniture. – Via – Woohome & Likecool

A few days ago Allan Lake sent me an email to show me a few pieces of sculpted furniture, and in this post you can see a bedroom furniture project named Dreamscape that Allan emailed to me. This collection of bedroom furniture comprises of one King size bed with two large under bed storage drawers and two sets of three drawer bedside cabinets one of which has a secret concealed compartment under its top. It is made of regular and figurative premium white sycamore with tulip wood dovetailed drawers. This project was created as a commission from a couple who very much love art and sculpture and wanted bedroom furniture that would meet there physical requirements, work within there space and would visually reflect them as people in an artistic sense. From my perspective the final result looks like a piece of furniture from a fairy tale, and when I’m looking at it I don’t know why this bedroom furniture collection makes me think at fictional characters like fairies, elves, dwarfs, …

The New York Times shows us that Broadway director Jack O’Brien had a not uncommon concern when he built a home in New Milford, he couldn’t decide where to position his bed in the master bedroom. To solve this problem, Jack O’Brie hired a set-designer friend who came up with a rotating bed in the middle of the room. Just press a button and the bed turns to face the fireplace, above. Press the button again and the bed faces the windows, below. The pictures below illustrate how this rotating bed works. I know that a video would showed us more clearly how this bed works, but unfortunately we have only pics.
