Create a Relaxing Bathroom Atmosphere with Overflow Bathtub series by KÄSCH

The Overflow bathtub series by KÄSCH ( website was down the last time I checked ) are designed in such a way that overflowing water is directed back into the tub which gives the bath the appearance of a natural waterhole. The concept resulted from the wish to combine the aesthetics of nature with the cultic character of bathing, and to give space to the element water in order to allow for all its possibilities. When flowing, it creates reflections in the interplay with light and new experiences associated with its sound. Man’s contact with the element water is intensified. Overflow understands itself as part of a bathing culture intent on naturalness, accentuating both meditative and stimulating elements in the bathroom. Just imagine yourself in one of these pictures after a hard day of work, what a relaxing feeling …just feel it. – Via

Hidden Tap Faucet, a Possible Future for the Old Faucets

The Hidden Tap by Jalmer Moorman is a new idea that uses a sensor to follow your hands and dispense water. As you move your hands from left to right under the faucet, water goes from hot to cold just like a regular tap. This “faucet” is an interesting technology that who knows in future maybe it will replace the actual faucets. To see how this new idea works check the video below, I’m sure you’ll want one after you’ll see the video. – Via

Plugless Sink Aims to Make People Realise How Much Water they Are Consuming

Plugless sink is exactly that, a sink without a plughole. To get rid of the grey water we have to tip the water out. This idea is totally useless, because what it does is just complicates everything, and takes time, and I’m pretty sure that 99% of the people will prefer to use a normal sink. Anyway the designer Maja Ganszyniec made this sink with the purpose of making people more conscious of how much water we are using and mainly throwing away. This sink shows the value of water through its volume and promotes water re-usage. – Via

If you want something really unique in your bathroom then you should take a look at the Ammonite washbasin from HighTech that is shaped as a fossil. This unique design showcases the organic qualities of concrete. The washbasin can be produced in widths between 90 cm and 330 cm with a standard depth of 56 cm, and is available in several colors. It can be installed either with a table-mounted or wall-mounted tap. Now the design might be unique and cool, but if you would like to wash something it will be quite hard, and the cleaning part will also be a challenge. – Via – Thanks for suggestion Mike

Steel Towel Heater Shaped Like a Snake

If you have a small bathroom you should plan carefully your space. One thing that you can do is to replace the radiator with a  nice looking stainless steel towel warmer that would heat the bathroom as well as the towels. Ok so where’s the space saving? You can use the wall-mounted towel warmer to double as a radiator and fit it on the wall over the end of the bathtub. This would save a lot of space because the radiator would now be on a wall that would otherwise be doing nothing. This wall-mounted towel warmer is also very userful if you hate stepping out of a hot shower. Here are also a few words about this product on the website from where you can purchase it : “The Snake 50 Towel Heater is one Scirocco’s uniquely designed towel-heating radiators for the bathroom. The heated water is hidden behind chrome-nickel plating and steel to create a hot modern sculpture.” – Via
