Paddington is an ever trendy inner-city, an eastern suburb of Sydney, where this amazing 19th century terrace house was found. We’re not sure if it’s for sale but if you plan on buying a property in Sydney why wouldn’t you check that out. The narrow property combines a modern traditional exterior with a stunning high class interior that values space, the most. In an exclusive and tranquil neighborhood located at 20 Lentara Rd, Bayview Heights, the $9.7 million USD (or €6.1 million) house packs 4 extremely modern bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3 garages and one lovely inground pool.
What got my attention? The modern architecture, the vast ceiling spaces and the huge outdoor sliding glass that makes it look like a part of nature, plus the fact that it uses underfloor heating. Oh did I mention the 8 person outdoor spa? Guess not.

Remember the sunny California beach house, from the other days? Well if liked it, we have another from Gunyah beach in Bundeena, Australia. Created by architect Clinton Murray, solid as a rock and intended “last forever”, it wasn’t easy to tuck it into the hillside, very close to the breaking shoreline.
“The house sits with its toes touching the sea and with an exposed worn rock face at its back, both constant reminders of the power of wild storms blowing in from the north-east. And should the big seas come, this house is a safe haven, no question about it.”
But enough with the location and how solid this beach house is, because the interior is just as spectacular as the site itself. The whole house is made of reused Oregon timber and textured off-form concrete which contrasts with the orange, really well. It has a main living quarters with everything you may need (including three master bedrooms with en-suite balconies) for a relaxing vacation and a copper clad roof to offer stunning ocean views. – via Modresdes

In Albert Park, Australia, architect Matt Gibson came up with a great design for George Residential, with a a classic Victorian workers cottage look on the front and a contemporary terrace at the back end. Combined as a metaphorical bridge of history between the front and the rear, the house has a minimalist design with a huge livingroom with an LCD to spend some quality time, a beautiful wooden kitchen with well defined shapes and all the needed utensils and a concealed fold away door that makes the connection with the back terrace. Both the colors and the materials seem to bond really well to creating a warm modern home. I’d really wish to know how much they spent to have George Residential like that! – via Momoy
