Beirut-based interior design studio Roland Helou Design (ROHD) is the creative team behind this ground-floor garden flat in Lebanon. Conceived for a professional young couple, the contemporary apartment stretches over 3,229 square feet in a building in Rabieh, Beirut’s most affluent suburb.

Nestled on a hillside to the north of the city, the flat seamlessly blends with a quaint outside garden, making it seem like a sophisticated villa. This result is achieved through clever execution of curtain glass and a terrace that serves dual purposes: annexed living space in winter and and extension of the garden in summer.

Eye-catching details abound, such as the onyx marble and black lacquer bar that protrudes into the outdoor area. Another impressive piece is the black basalt chimney in the main living room. Made of volcanic stones, it radiates a distinctive blend of elegance and dominance. The piece is complemented by a Kelly Hoppen dining table, a Natuzzi sofa and custom-made coffee tables.

The guest bathroom, with a mirror-clad ceiling and Tala Maron marble, is worth dwelling over. Not to be outshined, the master bedroom has an Ivano Redaelli bed placed in its center, facing the outdoor Jacuzzi and surrounded by hidden American walnut closets.
