JVArchitekt designed this modern home in Olomouc-Slavonin, Czech Republic, for a family whose main request was for a high level of privacy. The project team developed this contemporary residence with three wings, which create a U-shaped floor plan that faces south, and an inner atrium.

The main entrance is in the east wing of the building, connected to the access road. A hallway leads to the workroom (occasionally used as a guest room), dressing room, shower and utility room with laundry.

The northern wing of the house, the main living area, opens up to the private atrium. Floor-to-ceiling windows connect this social zone to a landscaped courtyard. The children’s bedrooms are in the west wing of the house, connected to the main living space by a large corridor.

By using minimalist furnishings and bright finishes, the architects achieved an airy and stylish modern feel. The house is equipped with a cooling system, electronic security and smart automation. [Photos and information provided by JVArchitekt; landscape architect: Eva Wagnerová]
