The Watt Time is a unique clock in the shape of a lightbulb. This clock it’s made of a high gloss hard plastic which enables the bright blue LED of the digital clock to shine through from the inside out. On the top, where the lightbulb’s socket end would be is a big easy to press snooze button. The rest of the buttons are located on the back side of the bulb so as not to ruin the bulb’s effect. Right now the Watt Time is a presale for $24.99 via Quirky and should they hit 300 pre-orders, the product will go into production for real.

Steffen Kehrle and Julia Landsield are the talented brains behind the Erasing Darkness lighting system. Designed for Moree, the light of the Erasing Darkness was apparently too bright, hence why the duo decided to literally block it somehow. The idea was brought to reality by covering the object that was replicating the look of a push-out eraser with a paper cover that not only adds to the chic factor it also adds a nice shade around. It comes with energy saving bulbs that deliver great light, as for the paper thing, you shouldn’t be too worried as the system is actually crafted from aluminum.

Obviously inspired by the ubiquitous urban security camera, the Spoticam designed by Antrepo is a lamp that resembles a security camera. The Spoticam looks like the CCTV camera, with its adjustable arm, can be mounted wall or place on the table as a desk lamp. This lamp is just a concept for now, but I’m pretty sure that this concept could look very good in reality.

Remember when flat, uncomfortable inclining lifts were installed in dank, musty homes? Remember how jarring the ride appeared when it jerked you slowly up the stairs with a loud and awkward mechanical monstrosity that you had no choice but to design the stairway (including wallpaper and rails) around to accommodate? Well those days are no more my friends! French company ThyssenKrupp Monolift have devised the clean, white, cyberprep-looking lift that looks like it can be infused seamlessly into many home motifs. Easy to install and definitely more economical than installing an elevator, the chair is a simple and accommodating solution for those who’ve saved all their lives for the 4-story dream home and find the stairs a little tough on the knees. Needless to say, it’s definitely a clean-looking device! – via

Sound Carpet by Lim Hyuntaik is an amazingly cool sound system that lets the user enjoy the music in an innovative manner. When I saw this design I’ve automatically thought that is a cool place for a party. The speakers and cords are hidden inside the four raised corners, so users are not distracted by visual clutter. The corners also provide a place for users to lounge while listening to music, reading, or chatting. The Sound carpet won the Bronze Award at the International Design Excellence Award 2009. – Via – Businessweek & Hometone
