Fans of the “Twilight” films and novels will know that Bella, the mortal girl who comes into very close contact with a covenant of “vegetarian” vampires, is utterly fascinated with the house they live in the moment she sets eyes on it. Now for all the Twilight fans I here are some interesting news. The home used in “Twilight: New Moon” film opening today, as the residence for Edward and the rest of the Cullen family is up for sale for $3.3 million. This is not the Hoke home that was featured in the first movie ( also featured here on Freshome ). The 5,000 sq ft, five-bedroom property is located on half an acre on a creek-side lot in West Vancouver.

The propriety was designed by noted architect Arthur Erickson and totally renovated in 2001. Just after the “New Moon” filming was completed, the owners decided to capitalize on the fame and publicity and the Twilight house is now on the market. If you are interested in the “Twilight: New Moon” house you can find more info from Jason Soprovich, the agent who is selling this home.

The creative folks from JM Architecture have been commissioned to redecorate an apartment in Como, Italy — and by the looks of it, they’ve done a sterling job. The biggest concern was to keep the original shape and the shell intact, yet bring a minimalist flavor to the whole invading living space. On top of bringing new functionality to the flat, it’s the extensive use of wood (lovely hardwood floors in there), the steel beam assembled staircase with open treads, the white finished walls and the stylish lighting that got our eyes. Kudos to JM Architecture for turning an old space into such a modern apartment!

It’s hard to imagine that you can build a house on a terrain surrounded by rocks, but the designers from Jarmund / Vigsnæs AS Architects MNAL have done it on the coast of Vestfold in the southern part of Norway. Meant as a vacation house, the building replaced an older construction but adjusted to the site’s particularities in terms of shape, scale, material and color. Blending with the landscape but featuring a stylish lap pool and a terrace that offers breath-taking views, the Summer House Vestfold 2 has also managed to get our hears with the extensive use of stone and Kebony wood on the outside. Simply stunning! (via ArchDaily)
