Ethos Foods is a sophisticated, self-service vegetarian restaurant, conveniently located near Oxford Circus in Central London and specializing in deliciously healthy cuisine. I-AM collaborated with entrepreneur Jessica Kruger to bring the Ethos concept to life, developing the branding and interiors. Built and designed with the customer at heart, the interiors and layout of the restaurant have been carefully crafted to optimize customer flow and to provide a dynamic environment in which to dine. Rather than serving the food in the standard self- service buffet configuration, the design elevates the dishes and presents them in a beautifully abundant manner, tempting customers to try them all.

Against a neutral palette, the interior is highlighted by touches of blues, golds and silvers, making for a discrete, yet luxurious atmosphere. Blue tones are featured in the upholstery of the banquette seating, complimented with black and neutral loose furniture. Birch trees make for a striking feature in the design, with over 4m high trees standing majestically in the main space and delivering a natural and organic element. The main materials employed for the scheme are ceramic tiles, Iroko timber and brick slips, topped off with a blend of brass and stainless steel along with gold, black and white powder coated surfaces.

Premium black Port Laurent and white Calcatta marble were used for the counter and food display pods, while the seating area is a blend of timber and marble finishes. The exterior of the premises is a combination of vertical Iroko wood panels, kissing the glass shopfront behind and adding a touch of sophistication. The color for the exterior is golden timber mixed with gold, dark grey and deep blue, keeping with the neutral-chic overall color scheme. [Photos and information provided via e-mail by I-AM Design]
