Showcasing a peculiar monolithic design, Villa Freundorf is the home of a young family. Emplacement was chosen near the enchanting city of Vienna, Austria. The project was completed in 2012 by Project A01 Architects. Neatly designed and making use of geometry and shapes, this detached all-white contemporary villa resembles to a spaceship. Creative and inspiring, this residence is an exciting place to live in. The excessive use of white opens the house and expands beyond its walls.

Featuring two floors, with the ground floor accommodating the social area (living room with fireplace and a full-equipped kitchen) and the top floor housing the bedrooms and baths, the house is simple and minimalistic. The exquisite eye-catching geometry outlines not only the house’s exterior but also the interior furnishing and decor. Transparency is a main feature: floor-to-ceiling glass panels replace the walls, allowing the sun to slide inside with ease. Naturally lit, the house opens to the outside, aiming to establish a connection between the inhabitants and nature. A swimming pool and a lounge area were also included in the house plan.
