Admit it!- having your place turned upside-town (after a memorable party, let’s say) is not something you are unfamiliar with at times. But this particular house was intentionally built this way, which currently makes it a tourist attraction at the VVTs the All-Russia Exhibition Center in Moscow. Discovered by Freshome on My Modern Met and bearing resemblance to another inverted house in Poland we featured a while back, the Shifted House is intriguing to say the least. Everything inside was painstakingly built upside-down, after the architects took inspiration from various similar projects around the world.

Some say the experience of being inside this dwelling is like being on a roller-coaster. Visitors enter and walk on the ceilings; their “sightseeing tour” includes all the upside-down interiors of a common cottage-like house, from a decorated living room and a child’s bedroom to a lovely little bathroom and even a garage with a car parked in the driveway.
