KC Design Studio sent us photos and information about a modern residential project the team completed in Taiwan. The main objective was to develop a friendly and practical living space, one that would highlight the owners’ impressive collection of travel items. To this extent, the designer envisioned a series of wooden shelves, allowing the inhabitants to put all their favorite objects on display.
The L-shape plan of the crib is divided in two: one side of the house accommodates the private areas, while the other hosts the living spaces. A “void” between the two allows sunshine and fresh air into the house. The bedroom is particularly intriguing, with its open plan layout integrating the bathroom. A seamless room transition was achieved through the clever use of materials. Wood is present throughout, adding an elegant, yet highly welcoming feel.
