Debarre Duplantiers AssocieÌs Architecture & Paysage completed the Villa Seignosse project (the house being named after the region), a home that contrasts with the surroundings. The rectangular-shaped villa displays white walls and a clean design line. Embracing the picturesque site of Seignosse, France, the residence was envisioned as a modern oasis characterised by comfort and openness. There’s no room for negative energy here. The inhabitants get to experience the nature’s positive effect. The back of the house opens to the forest.
The interior is well-organised and fluid. “A large living room gathers an open kitchen and a flexible office space, while setting a fireplace in the middle of a glazed facade. A large wooden deck extends the interior space to the garden and to the pool. Upstairs, the master bedroom enjoys a 360° view, with a south terrase and a large bathroom.” Floor-to-ceiling windows replace the classic walls, allowing the sun’s warmth inside the house. Seignosse has that unexplainable “quelque chose” each season that favors inspiration and the creative process. Autumn is by far the most spectacular, due to the abundance of colors.
