Imposing A-House in Argentina Ranking High in Functionality

When developing the plans for A House in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the team at Estudio GMARQ had to anticipate the needs of the clients: “During the first meetings with our clients, a couple with no children, they made it clear that they had no preconceived idea of how their future house should look like or how it would be.” After several meetings of brainstorming ideas, the perfect lot was found and the building design was achieved taking into consideration all possible situations, from daily life to important social events.

House A is structured on two levels: the ground floor accommodates the public area, visually marked by stone walls on the exterior. The generously-sized social zone connects with a terrace and overlooks the swimming pool. A service zone with garage can be accessed through an opposite entrance. The first floor (delimited by light gray stucco) hosts all private spaces for the couple and their future children.
