What at first appears to be just a pile of wood is, at a closer inspection, a creative cabinet cleverly hidden under a wooden shell. The Facecord Cabinet is part of Cleveland-based designer Mark Moskovitz‘s portfolio and can be used to store or even hide things in plain sight. The name refers to the measurements for firewood. Composing either a rustic feel or adorning your modern interiors with its functional body, the deceptive piece of furniture will surely spark up a conversation once guests figure out what it truely is. Concealing your belonging in two small upper drawers and two more on the bottom, the firewood cabinet brings nature inside and reminds you to relax and unwind even if you don’t own a fireplace. By being a constant presence in your home, the cabinet will become more and more interesting for your visitors who will wonder why the stack of wood is always the same size and shape. Priced at $5,800, the Facecord Cabinet was first seen at The Future Perfect during ICFF 2011.
