South Yarra – based studio David Luck Architecture created a magnificent single story weekend retreat that can be considered a fantastic mixture of modern architecture and untamed natural surroundings. Dark and modern, the contemporary weekend retreat is situated on the Victorian Mornington Peninsula, south-east of Melbourne, Australia. A glass skin defines the Red Hill Residence reached via a steel bridge leading to the main living space, where windows were designed to define the cardinal points. Sliding walls create a seamless connection to the outside, while the black facade disappears into the landscape at night, when no lights are turned on. Once the artificial light accompanies the architectural weekend retreat, a fascinating and dramatic show takes place. Floating above the ground, the Red Hill Residence will continue to amaze you with each detail and each result of a carefully planned custom interior design, so enjoy!
