They came to DeForest with enthusiasm for the design process and a vision of a house that blended seamlessly with the site. Some key themes include: a secret room, sleeping porch, built-in alcoves which make this cabin cozy for two and comfortable for a crowd, a natural mix combining the warmth of wood with low maintenance tile, stone, and composites, clever ideas to accommodate a range of friends and families, a sleeping loft, flex bath and low-maintenance materials“. With a minimalist design and wooden furniture elements, this modern, sophisticated house seems like the perfect holiday retreat. This home looks like it was made for me down to the cabinets, countertops, built-ins. Even the bedspread is the same line/look that I have at home. But my home isn’t nearly this lovely!

This house is beautiful. The “secret” doors are great and also the fireplace. The house is really great for holiday retreat or for just relaxing from a hard week or month.

Love this Lake Wenatchee, Washington home – it must be equally spectacular in other seasons. I could be happy here. The open spaces, expansive glass bringing in light and views creates a very livable home and I appreciate that quirky bookcase door! However, I would be rather concerned about bushfire danger being, as it is, surrounded by forest. Hopefully this has been addressed.
