This is definitely not an example of typical Japanese home designing. Villa-K was developed by Cell Space Architects and is located in Karuizawa, Nagano. Situated on a hilltop, this residence did not have to deal with space constraints, which is why its overall appearance could remind one of a typical modern American home. Built around a central sustaining pillar, Villa K is made out of four floors built on different levels. Windows connect the four otherwise separate volumes and offer the owners a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding landscape. The interior design is minimalist and inspirational. The open floor plan allows an abundance of natural light and provides a few great places for socializing. We particularly like the storage cabinets situated below the widow levels, as they are very practical and don’t obstruct the views. Have a look at the photos and let us know if you see other inspiring decorating elements.

Beautiful! Somehow it reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.
Well, someone’s *fabulously* wealthy. To own this much prime land and build a home this large anywhere at all in Japan? Yikes.
That said, the home is genuinely beautiful and must be a really marvelous place to live. I’m think how the joins between different roof sections was accomplished is particularly impressive. Such large, monolithic expanses overhead could easily have seemed heavy and even oppressive, but instead they float and layer over one another rather like leaves on a plant.
Gorgeous home.
its just like my dream villa architecture and interior simply beautifull
