Altamira Residence was designed by Marmol Radziner Architecture and is located in a picturesque landscape, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in Palos Verdes, California. With a sinuous, uncommon shape and concrete walls, the house contrasts the lively colors of the ocean and generous “backyard” pool, creating an amazing sight. The clients wanted a home that would ensure a maximum level of comfort and relaxation. The contemporary interior design features plenty of wooden elements which contribute to an overall warm atmosphere. With large, airy rooms and wide windows. this project manages to maximize the natural illumination while providing a delightful living setting. Some of the furniture elements are unusual and surprising, such as the suspended bookshelf in the kitchen (probably filled with cookbooks), the giant oval pendant lamp in the dining room or the immense wooden table below. Be sure to let us know if there are any other furniture details you enjoyed.

Breathtaking! Is this a nerve wracking stance? Or a house in circus? Everything is made out of light materials, right? Nice illuminations, cool distribution of space and most of all very unique. It looks like an inverted cabin. It’s one of the most breathtaking views I saw, aside from the inverted house I have seen in foreign lands.
