Designed by Andrés Remy Arquitectos, Casa Orquidea gets its name from the owner’s passion of growing orchids. This exotic residence is said to have its architecture plans based on the structure of the orchid: the flower, stem and roots. We tried to find out more information on the similarities between this home and the fore-mentioned flower, but in the end we believe that it is all a matter of design. The shape of the residence and even its color palette could perhaps remind one of an orchid. Another objective pursued by the architects was sustainability. This home has integrated systems that guarantee an efficient energy consumption and is provided with natural ventilation. Wide windows ensure natural lighting and great views of the surrounding landscape.

I’m very like this style of architect, simply, nice
wow – a lovely building, but yet another great example of why you shouldn’t let architects design the interiors…
Well I guess it’s true, money can’t buy taste.
