The Perfect Student's Crib : Small But Well Organized Abode

The Perfect Student’s Crib : Small But Well Organized Abode

When you are a student, accommodation is not the first of your worries. But with time comes a job and the need for a little more space than the college dorm room offers. We consider this small apartment perfect for having friends over which is what led us to believe it was especially designed for students. This one bedroom crib measures just 50 square meters, but it very well organized. The large room includes a sofa and a bed which makes it a living-room and a bedroom as well. The colorful paintings cheer up the whole space and add a little youthfulness. The apartment also houses a large kitchen, a renovated bathroom with tub  and a spacious hall with space for working area. Large windows ensure a good illumination throughout the day. Do you think the designers did a good job optimizing this small student’s crib?

This is way above student level, maybe a city pad for an executive or so but definitely not for the low budget.

Dear all, I’m Swedish and I work in the City of Gothenburg, quite near to the area where the Alvhem real estate agents are based. I can therefore confirm this is NOT a student’s pad… simply because no student would ever afford living there:-) This part of the city, called Linnéstaden, actually used to be a typical working class area, but its central location and growing popularity have transformed it into quite a fashionable neighbourhood with many cafés and restaurants… So this is actually a chic studio apartment:-) In any case, I’d like to add I personally love the way Alvehem style and decorate their objects.

I’m from South Africa and i’m just wondering what is up with the predominant white apartments? I know that it makes the apartment look more spacious but if it wasn’t for the wooden floors i would have gotten a hospital feel…. Plus these apartments are really not small! Well, i’ve seen townhouses where the bedrooms are so small that you can barely fit a single bed in. And that would be it.
I’d love to have an apartment like the one above. I love the way the bathroom was done. Especially the floor.

What kind of student needs so spacious kitchen? Besides bed and sofa in same room is worst thing i ever seen. I am student by myself and imagine if you have 5 or 7 friends coming to your house to have preparty. some of them will sit on bed cause sofa is too small. Nevertheless usually beds are messed up in student’s home :D
