“Casa Familia” is an impressive residential project from Kevin deFreitas Architects located in San Diego, USA. Its total building area is 3,460 square feet, which makes it “roomy” enough for the six persons living inside. The purpose was to build a home that was green and efficient, meaning that all efforts were guided towards integrating low energy consuming systems that would reduce costs and the usage of various resources. Even though the initial investment for such energy efficient add-ons was high, the clients are sure that it was definitely worth it when thinking of the long term consequences. The interior design of this residence is diverse and captivating, featuring unexpected color combinations, unique arrangements and inspiring decorating elements. What a beautiful house with beautiful views. I love the kitchen with the cross grained end panels.
There are a few things I must comment on here. First, the choice of the green ceiling color, blends nicely with charcoal wall color around the corner.
Also, would have to say the choice of the vibrant glass bottle arrangement on the end table really gives life to the room.
And finally the overall lighting of the home really gives it a nice open and airy feeling. Well done…..
