Hello,
maybe you should look at something like this: http://mojdom.zoznam.sk/cl/10119/110319/Kupelna-plna-rybiciek
Page is in Slovak, but the images speak for themselves.
Here are a few pics of black&white bathrooms. Maybe you can use them for inspiration:

It doesn’t say if you rent or own, which can make a big difference in what you can do.
- ask yourself, what can I do to replace or hide that horrible green floor? Can you retile? If so, do it in black with white accents to pick up the wall tile. If you can’t…um. Your walls are tile, so you can’t do what we did, which was to put a strong colour on the walls to distract from our ugly yellow linoleum floor. You could redo it less permanently with contact paper, but I’m not sure how well that will stand up to mopping.
- put up a shower rod and curtain in some colour or print that appeals to you, with co-ordinating towels.
- if you can/want to retile the walls, add a black beltline and/or border, or create one with contact paper or false tiles (which I saw once at Home Depot).
Classic black and white mosaic tile floor with white subway tile up the walls and shower are always a great way to go. It can look modern or traditional depending on what fixtures you choose. You can add color with paint and accessories which are easy to change out if you ever get tired of them. Here is an example:
