hi brandon,
the rest should be easy.
you allready did the work.
grey paint is awesome, also the bamboo floor will look great.
the redwood wall stands for itself and needs no accent. just grind down the white paint and let out its warm color, stain it dark (with a red touch) but lighter than the flloor… i hope you install this kind of bamboo: http://www.triplepundit.com/black%20brushed%20bamboo.jpg
flat screen is easy as your place is small and you can only put one group of chairs and a couch in it ——–> above the fireplace.
you could tear down the fireplace and build yourself a new one. take grey blocks of stone, cement and be sure you do it yourself so it’s personal and therfore not perfect. but it will look great with a piece of redwood on top.
I agree with Ted’s comments. Are you laying the flooring in straight lines up to the walls, or at an angle? Hard to tell from photo which will look better.
Flatscreen has to go above fireplace, but not so high you are straining neck to view! Depending width of windows, roman blinds will look good, but avoid stripes as got a bit of that going on with floors and panel wall! Blackout lining might help too as the light is shining on tv wall and might make viewing tv difficult if bright. If you go for darker furniture and lighter accessories the furniture won’t stand out too much on dark floors and give a less cluttered feel in a smaller room
Ok, so we took out the walls, the lines were bugging us and after we painted it, it still looked dated. We are going to lay the floors lengthwise across the room.
