Upholstered Lamp Inspired by the Chesterfield Sofa

Upholstered Lamp Inspired by the Chesterfield Sofa

“Clamp” is a beautiful upholstered lamp designed by Enrico Zanolla and Andrea Di Filippo from DZstudio, an Italian company. The project is said to be inspired by the famous Chesterfield sofa. We really like the “lighting design version” of the couch and we think it does a great job in terms of elegance and good taste. This lamp can complement a modern interior, adding a spark of glamor and originality. The color choice is interesting, ranging from the classic black & white to a dashing yellow. We like each and everyone of the models and we think that choosing between them is not all that easy. Still, the decision should be based on the existing interior which one wants to upgrade and its design theme.- via muuuz

Hi, I need to know how to do basic calculations for upholstered pieces? How many yards will I need? Assuming there is no repeat in the pattern to take into consideration. thanks…

I love the idea of this. It’s unique and interesting. I’m not sure that I actually love the final product although I can see it working in some homes.

I think the Clamp is stylish and quirky at the same time. I can definitely see a lot of appeal in the contract market, and maybe even select home markets. I’d like to see the interior surfaces with a reflective metallic treatment to kick it up a notch (gold or silver depending on the exterior color). I think that would give it a real “glam” vibe.
