Georgia-based designer and craftsman Robert Brou has designed the ‘Wave’ desk. A new ‘Slice’ technique has been used for creating the Wave desk. The design of the Wave includes a two-tower structure featuring towers sliced to create file folder storage with a drawer above. One of the towers has a small drawer that includes a pullout work surface on the top. Both the towers are clad in two and a half inch thick Poplar lumber carved as a random wavy pattern in the form of layers. Each of the layers has a three by four inch tall reveal, which eliminates the need to pull the drawer. The final design looks awesome, but what we do with it after two weeks when the dust is a really big problem ?
