From GLR Arquitectos comes the dramatic shaped “Casa BC”, located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, in a unique topographical environment. Surrounded by higher altitudes, the house lies in a natural hollow from where the views are absolutely breathtaking. The shape of the building is very dramatic and unexpected angles transform this place into a modern and original residence. Here is further information from the architects:  “With volumetric pure, but rather complex structural solutions because of its large open spaces and projections, our project aims to save an image of lightness within a language rather heavy volume and mass. Although the color still does not have a significant presence in our work, this project takes an important step in the exploration of new materials, such as black granite and white concrete appearance, in addition to the character which give the building the large number of steel elements that are visible.”-via Plataforma Arquitectura
