Roof Outdoor Pools, a Cool Architecture Idea

Global Architectural Development have recently come up with an architecture design that left us speechless. Located in Bodrum, Turkey, an important tourist attraction during the summer season, this amazing home comes with two original surprises. Most residences stick to a common roof built out of tiles, shingles and so on. Not this particular home, though. Instead of a regular house covering architecture plan, the team over at GAD decided that they should cover the house with pools that collect rain water. This unusual residence has three distinct buildings that are connected through a glass atrium. The exterior is unique in shape and style. The rooms are all light and airy and the roof water keeps the house cool during the summer. Pretty impressive, don’t you agree?-via Digs Digs

Hmm, sounds like a great idea – especially as it would help cut down on heat. My concern would be that based on the location, the water would not only evaporate, but I would not want to have expensive furniture if the roof ever springs a leak :D
