Prefabricated Panels from ModCell, an Alternative Building System

Combining the  straw bale construction method with prefabricated panels, this house was built using a new technology that is sustainable and also has a pleasing look. ModCell is the company in charge with this new technology and their portfolio is quite impressive. Here are some words from the people that came up with this innovative building solution: “Our concept takes a material perceived as “deep green” and combines it with modern methods of construction. By combining the best from both worlds, we have developed a sustainable, carbon-neutral cladding system that can help meet the challenges of climate change in the 21st century.”The overall results are really not that bad for an Eco private residence. -via Inhabitat

I have seen many prefab houses already from around the world, both in pictures and in real. What I liked about the one above is the traditional and minimalistic yet stylish approach it rendered to the overall designs of the house. And I’ve heard of ModCell from a friend before, and I must agree with her, they are really doing houses suitable to be homes. The woodwork designs with earth colors are so pleasant for the eyes, that it would be attractive for just almost everybody who sees it. I can almost feel breathing in the good air inside the house because of the architecture they incorporated with this prefab nest.

Wow, this is really neat, I heard about straw bale construction many years ago (before the whole Green movement) and have always been interested, this building looks cool and very livable. I hope this moves forward.

Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here.
