This out of the ordinary house was designed for a special exhibition in Trassenheide Germany and is open to the public for visiting. The creators – Klaudiusz Golos and Sebastion Mikuciuk say they “didn’t built the house for a reason, they just wanted to do something different.” Similar houses were built before but this time not only the exterior is upside down, but every single room in the house and also the furniture. ”The world stands on its head” is the official name of the project. You will notice in the pictures how every arrangement seems very accurate and how all the main items in a normal house appear upside down in this design too. We salute this wonderful burst of creativity and we are looking forward for more out-of-the-box architecture.- via Impact Lab

Actually, this house kind of makes you wonder how it can even hold together. Even by stabilizing the furniture and decor, wouldn’t the strain crash the house?
wow it looks great, great work dome by the creators…
I’m sorry but this house it’s nothing special. First house in Europe like this was bulding in Poland in Szymbark. If you want to see:

@bart, thank you for your comment. The idea for the house is new in the sense that everything inside is upside down too. Daniel Czapiewski’s house in Poland is fantastic (by the way we got that covered too in a previous post), but the furniture inside is not upside down:)
@Nicolette, that’s a good question, unfortunately I can only say that the house is open for visiting so it manages to stay together without crushing. We do not know how that is possible, probably due to some really strong floors and grinds
Excellent idea. Very funny and interesting design.
Projects for the sake of art, too, should be.
amazing! i like their work very much.
@bart As mentioned in the article itself, this house is unique in that all of items IN the house are also upside down (you’ll notice in the pictures there’s a floor lamp and toilet on the ceiling). The house in the video you linked to WAS upside down, but it appears that the inside of the house was still generally right-side up (or possibly slightly slanted to one side).
Finally, a toilet you don’t have to lift the lid on. ‘Course girls will have to remember to put it “down”..
i dont really like it bcuz its pointless. but in a creative sense it pretty cool
I think the comment which was written upside down is the best response to this concept of building a house upside down. It’s more idiotic than creative.
Great…kudos for spending a lot of money and energy for something absolutely impractical and useless. In other somewhat related news, millions of homeless around the world are in dire need of housing to protect them against illness and death.
totally awesome, has gave me real inspiration for my gcse graphic design project
It’s not very creative. The idea is somehow cheap. You don’t have to be genius to think of this, just idler and unimaginativ. They had no better idea so… I very much like interesting and unusual houses but this is just dull. So much effort and they discovered the hole in the flowerpot.
