Wood Carving-Inspired Acoustic Walls: Pentagon

Designed to reflect the style and texture of old Norwegian wood carvings, designers at StookeAustad and the wood manufacturer Bosvik developed the Pentagon wall system to lock in and reduce sound using felt and a condensed assortment of recycled materials.  Geometric but casual, the Pentagon wall would serve as a great partition for a relaxed, inviting space that needed to be divided for work or play purposes.  A great idea for a live/work space, I could see the Pentagon being a really great idea as both a design and sound-minimizing accent for children’s rooms and common rooms in the home, using their inherent design qualities to keep your home from being outrageously loud or chaotic. – via
