Creative LED Lighting Sculpture : Cumulus Maximus

Designers Daria Burlinska and Wojtek Traczyk have developed this creative lighting sculpture from the concept of a bulbous (no pun intended) cumulus cloud.  Made from hand-formed glass bulbs, the Cumulus Maximus emits a subtle blue accent from LED lights strewn through the sculpture.  Though built from steel and glass, the design of the Cumulus Maximus has a weightlessness about it, and would have a fantastic addition to a hip dining room or for designers interested in creating an airy, delicate motif for a space.  Certainly it draws the eye, but I feel that it would serve an interior space with round, white furniture and large, flat curvilinear accents really well. – visit their site

Everybody seems inspired to make these bulb lights. Jean Pelle did one of the first series in ReadyMade magazine and they’ve gotten popular now that you can buy the bulbs at CB2 for pretty cheap.
