One designer who does consider this detail is Ken Tomita. There are two outstanding table designs from his Bamboo Collection which look good from all view points. For the Sensu table, the designer chose perfectly proportioned and positioned glass and bamboo sections set on sumi stained ash legs. Any treasured art piece, ceramic or potted plant will be displayed in a most attractive manner.
Also noteworthy is his bamboo Gingko Light coffee table , masterfully crafted with tenon joints highlighted with black sumi ink. Just the right touch for this minimalist design.
