The good folks from Japanese studio Suppose Design Office are behind this amazing residential project in Sakuragawa, Japan. A spacious interior with a limited floor plan, the minimalist house covers a small 50sqm plot with a split-level layout that is spread over three floors. Featuring a massive bay-window to overlook the nearby park, lots of wood furnishings, large spaces and a bunch of white stairs. And although we can’t see any rooms, doors, separating walls or furniture, it still looks like a nice modern addition to a crowding environment where space has become a real commodity. – via

50 sqmt. is really small. Building in such smal space is a challanging job. Its
amazing to build really spacious place in such a area.
I agree with Dana, a 50 sqmt plot is so small for a three story building.
The space is maximized and it still looks great.
50 sqmt are not small you spoiled snobs. I like how there are no handrails.
It doesn’t look like a 50sqm considering the thickness of the walls! The use of natural light, split level loft style and simple material is very clever here; the gaps between those levels combine with the timber ceiling have “cheated” people to look upward which creates more sense of space. Nice design.
Great use of space! I would like to have such a house in my street. It is very beautiful on the outside.
