Transparent Glass Pool Table by Nottage Design G-1

Share |

A few years ago I’ve had a dream to own my own pool table, but that dream is not a top priority right now. Today I’ve found a pool table that is a little more different than most pool tables. Created by Australia-based Nottage Design, the G-1 offers a perfect blend of modern styling and latest technology. It enjoys a transparent playing area with a glass top and patented resin playing surface.

Vitrik™ is a patented surface that is designed to mimic the characteristics of felt, giving it the same smooth feel of a regular pool table. The minimalist modern frame features integrated ball return allowing pocketed balls to be seen through the transparent top. You can get one for AUS RRP $39,900 if you live in Australia for other countries you will need to contact them for the pricing details. – Via – Cubeme

Stoned Box House in Sao Paolo, Brazil

Share |

An old existing one-story house in Sao Paolo, Brazil, have been redesigned by Alan Chu & Cristiano Kato. Dubbed the Box House, the small construction is nestled at 100m above sea level next to two enormous rocks. With a suspended box that acts as a bedroom and the street level with the living room, kitchen and bathroom, the boxed structure looks just like a can of sardines that floats on the martime channel nearby. Nicely lighted during the night, with lots of stone and wood, and classic furniture that charms in its own way, that’s one place where you can enjoy a peaceful weekend. – via

View House by Johnston MarkLee

Diego Arraigada Architects and Johnston MarkLee are the guys behind the View House. Located in Rosario, Argentina, it’s a contemporary residential design that gets the eye with its irregular cast concrete contour that also “hides” it well withing the lush landscape. Built on a restricted site, scarred by fire and unstable geologic conditions, this modern two-storey house features a minimalist interior on a backdrop of white and large windows for natural light. It’s a great design exercise.

eBay Auction for Car Couch Sculpture

Share |

I know that there are a lot of people who would like to spend more time in their car that in their homes, and this post is dedicated to those people. A few days ago someone posted an Ebay auction for this 250-pound hot rod couch is entirely hand-crafted in metal, features black leather upholstery, and boasts sunset orange pearl durable automotive paint. Measuring 168″ long and 45″ wide, the 250 lbs couch sculpture also features unique handmade lights (working) and comes disjointedly to fit in almost any space. Everything seems to be perfect for a cool and cozy living space, apart from the whopping $45,000 price tag of the metal car couch. Right now the eBay auction is over, and as I expected there were 0 bids. – Via – Autoblog
