In the beginning Freshome was just a small place where I’ve gathered some inspiration for an apartment that I wanted to buy in the future. Day by day I was surfing online searching and trying to find more and more ideas for that perfect apartment. As you can see today there are a lot of amazing ideas on Freshome, but what I’ve found today really blew my mind. This is not a real apartment, is just a 3D picture created by a very talented 3D Modeler from Turkey called Elftug. To be honest, now after 2 years of searching ideas, I really want to transform this idea intro reality. I don’t know if this would be possible and what kind of apartment I would need for this project, but this is really awesome …don’t you think ?

re: what apartment you would need: Based on you being able to stand next to the bed under the mezzanine floor and scaling the picture dimensions from there, you would need a general 5 – 6 metre high ceiling. Rare for domestic buildings. Possibility in an old factory or warehouse.

In my opinion,the upper section should have been used as the bedroom and whatever’s occupying that floor,brought down to the space wit the bed.
@Uche: you are right depending on the psychological requirements of the client. If the upper section is their office and they want/need a completey different zone for that so that they can ‘leave the office’ at the end of the day then this arrangement works. They also might enjoy having the bedroom as part of their living area just as some people enjoy having their baths open plan in the bedrooms and in the last year I have seen two bedrooms with baths AND toilets open plan in the bedroom. In this instance some drops of beautiful fabric, sheer or opaque could provide a subtle or soft but definite division off of the bedroom space.
