Designed by Affonso Risi and located on a steepy hill in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the House at Rua Alabarda is a great example of an urban residence that uses the given space at its best. It features a garage, a studio and a working area at the grand floor, including a stylish little pool with carps. Amazing rooms with elegant furnishings and a lot of white, beautiful lighting and large open spaces to add to its warmth, there’s something about this house that triggers all sorts of emotions in our mind. Sometimes it’s not the scenery that wins you over, but the modifications you bring to your home to make it more appealing. Located in Melbourne, Australia, the Barrow House has been designed by Andrew Maynard Architects with an arrangement of timber boxes that create a stylish variety of shapes to get the eye. With privacy levels at a max, the elegant interior features contemporary furniture, large windows for natural lighting, a much needed pool for the summer months and a lot of wood, the Barrow House certainly looks like a dream place for anyone working from home. When it comes to interior designing, it’s always easier when you get to deal with larger spaces rather than small apartments to stuff everything you have. However, interior specialist Tori Golub is here to assure us that with a little creativity and imagination, even lofts with limited space could look nice and cozy. All you have to do is pay much attention on the furniture you buy and the furnishings you apply. Some can make the room look larger, some will add the modern twist it needs and some will just make you feel comfortable when you step inside. I for one, definitely love the bed close to the window with a street view. Must be amazing in the morning and at night with all the lights, don’t you think? – via

The Abisko Washbasin is the result of a collaboration between Eumar Santhenica and Swedish Designer Johan Kauppi together with architect Lars Sundstorm. This design is a unique and totally new concept with an environmentally-conscious mentality without losing modern appeal. I’m pretty sure that you haven’t saw something like this before. The idea of Abisko was born in a project in Kiruna, at the very north of Sweden, while working with a design an architecture project. Johan and Larrs wanted to catch the freedom of mountain springs in the area and bring it into architecture. The idea was to not use tubes and not having any extra parts at all more than needed. The design should allow free and creative usage compared to traditional basins. – Via – Dvice

I love simple and practical ideas like this ingenious bathroom sink from Sanindusa. Made with 100 percent recycled material, the gently curving line of the sink terminates in a convenient looped towel rail. As you can see from the pictures this sink is quite small, and it works wonderfully in a small bathroom. The only bad things about this sink is that I can’t see where I would keep the soap, but I have to admit that anyway is a beautiful designed idea.
