Ssome time ago we posted about the “30 of the Most Creative Bookshelves Designs” and today I’ve found two incredible pieces of furniture that are made from cardboard on AT. These pieces are made using a construction technique that Eric Guiomar developed after looking for affordable and lightweight seating. These two pieces look awesome and they are extremely cheap, because they are made o cardboard …and in this economy I’m pretty sure that maybe someone will transform this idea into a business.

Hi !
anyone that likes cardboard furniture will surely like Nildo Campolongo’s woork, at rk, aq

all the best,

Really great idea!
Yes they may be good to look at and cheap, but what about
durability? Sure they may hold up that many books at the start
but shortly after that the abuse from moving things, taking things off/putting them back on the shelves. Of course you can’t forget animals jumping on and off
the thing. Unless there is something I am missing I don’t really
see these as being anything but a waste of money.
I don’t know. Clever but not he kind of thing I would want in my home.
Eric has done a marvelous job with these bookshelves. I never imagined circle could give such a preety impression. The shelves has so much space and the look is fresh as well. the second piece is inspired by a Japanese good luck charm i think ..Both designs are superb.
Great post you have shared with us Thanks .
Wonderful!
Ultra cheap, flat pack, environmentally friendly furniture! I can’t wait until; these are mass manufactured rather than sold to designer-style-types for silly amounts of money. Anyone checked this guys site out? £600 for a cardboard chair?
Instead of being of being functional it becomes fashionable… What a tragedy…
he is an artist, so of course you won’t get it for wal-mart prices. if there is a real demand for this stuff, it won’t be long until you will find it for wal-mart prices…. but then the people who paid boutique prices will trash it and find the next fad. the cycle continues.
I love the spiral bookcase shown above, but can’t seem to figure out who made it or how to find it. Am I a bad reader or is the info not there?
Beautiful stuff. Particularly love the cardboard furniture (even though my company makes stuff to last centuries, it still seems elegant to me).
Peace!
