Did you ever play with the Rubik’s cube? It was a puzzle first invented back in 1974 by the Hungarian professor, Ernő Rubik and it quickly became popular. Now a designer, Eric Pautz has taken that toy and transformed it into a lamp. It provides illumination that you can play with ! By turning the each face of the cube, you’ll be able to get an enormous number of different arrays of colored light. Solve the puzzle and you get the original cube configuration but I think it is much prettier if you left the faces scrambled.

There is also a plain, non-coloured version which might appeal to those with aesthetic tastes. The lamp is not available yet but the designer is currently looking for producers. – Via
