Building your home from scratch must be really powerful, but if you’re an architect then it has to be the ultimate challenge. On a 2,600 m2 plot, the open door house was designed by the guys from Meneghetti Architects as a weekend retreat. With a lavish interior that promotes large windows and breathing spaces, the house has elegant shapes, exquisite furniture and a great view of the trees nearby. They did an amazing job if you ask me. It’s a great place to relax after a hard week at the office, isn’t it? [via NoticiasArquitectura]

I don’t see anything special about this house. Don’t get me wrong, it is nice but not wonderful!
Nice implementation of the ideas of Gropius and the Bauhaus
group.
The furniture = exact copy of Bauhaus.
Very nice but 80 years old concept.
Where is the EnergyStar? Today we are looking for solar heat-
ing and ventilation, photovoltaics, energy efficiency, super-
insulation and “Passive House” concepts.
it would be good to build this house in southern California
or other warm climate placeces.
cheers.
