Designed by Kim Seung Woo – Universal Plug is a very simple idea that should be implemented on all electronics. Pulling out a plug is not a hard work, but it is not always an easy task. This plug comes with a circular cut-out which can help you pull it out easily and encourage users to save energy, because we all know by now that leaving your electronics plugged in can suck away unused energy. I hope that some people who work in the electronics production see this idea …and who knows we will see it more and more in use, is very useful I think. – Via – 1, 2

Excellent idea. For anyone it’s cool but for the elderly/infirm it’s a must have. Any chance of applying this concept to other plug designs, UK etc…
I think this is a very good idea. It would have helped my friend who got shocked while trying to unplug the toaster. LOL!
Contrary to what you may think, if you have ever used an EU-standard electrical plug, you will understand that while having a hole to conveniently pull out a plug is surely nice, the design above, the leveled two-pronged plug is not a good design. The reason is that with out a third un-leveled prong (like we have here in the US for ground), the prongs are more susceptible to being bent because there is no support for vertical movements. At any rate, I’m happy to see more environ-oriented design ideas.

good idea! but its not an invention. such electrical plug was
still designed in the early 60′s on the famous school of design
in ulm, germany.(hfg ulm)
and i think there must be a reason, why this idea was never produced by
the industry.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. LOOK AT IT FROM THE SAFETY POINT OF VIEW.
IF THERE IS A LEAK, AC REPELS. NOW WITH YOUR FINGER IN THE HOLE, YOU
HAND/FINGERS WILL BE STUCK AND IT CAN BE FATAL !
I agree with the safety concerns. You should let an electrician look at this. If there is a short or a surge it will melt the plastic. Inserting your finger between the exposed wires is the worst thing you could do!
These is a very great design. Why it’s not used and implemented right now is something else. I hope to see this on market soon.
Ingenious design. Health and safety enabled as it’s insulated against electric shock I supposed. Great product of the future
