On a two-acre plateau in Belair, California, the contemporary Belair Residence by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects is a great mix of rounded shapes, amazing lighting and colors. Promoting open spaces, featuring wooden furniture in perfectly chosen places and an inverted cone that creates a contemporary focal point, we’re looking at an exquisite and tranquil home that many of us wouldn’t afford. The ground floor features a kitchen, a breakfast room and a glassed dining room, there are three children’s bedrooms and a games room at the first floor , while the top floor has the “creme de la creme”, a private guest suite and a massage room. Lovely, isn’t it?

First of all we’d like to apologize to all the ladies reading Freshome, but today we have a pretty hot topic we’d like to cover. Interior design for men. Many think that we men , can’t decide what piece of furniture to use, how to paint our walls or what flooring to go with. Could it be because dressing up is not the same for us as it is for women? We can’t tell for sure, but for all bachelors out there, who’s been looking for redecorating ideas we’ll provide.

We know how important the living room should be when you invite “someone” over for a glass of wine, we also know how important the first look is when you open the bedroom’s door, or when showing off your bathroom. First thing that you should know is that a clean interior, with modernly, classy or elegant furniture, is always going to get people react. Be it the fact that it’s clean in a men’s crib or that incredible sofa you’ve bought, you’ll definitely have some positive stuff going your way.

Now for the second part after you take a good look at these amazing inspirational bachelor pads, interior design for men should be as easy as driving a car. Right? What’s your favorite and which ones do you think girls will like the most? And yes girls, you can answer it, too

Whole Italy is filled with a stunningly beautiful old Mediterranean architectural style, but not the house you’re about to see. Designed by architect Duilio Damilano, Maison De La Lumiere in Bologna, Italy, is a great example of contemporary design that stays far from any Italian stereotypical styles you’ve seen. With a stunning open space ground floor that leads to the crystal blue swimming pool and featuring modern furnishings, this is an amazing and exquisite tech-savvy job that mixes really well with luxury.

Located in an old residential home in Shioya Tarumi-ku Kobe, Japan, the small home you see above is a great example of what innovation can do. Designed Endo Shuhei Architects the house stands out from the crowd thanks to its roof, which certainly is something you ain’t going to see every day. Facing the sea, the thin house was forced to use a triangular roof because of its site, with those steep slopes. And I must say they managed to maximize space with a brilliant idea. It’s like doing something out of what seems like nothing, and the Japanese seem to be doing good on that topic. – via

Stuart Fingerhut is a Los Angeles based designer who came up with this non-violent gun. It’s actually a wall mounted gun rack organiser specifically created to hold your keys, mail and so on in your foyer. What could be more peaceful than a gun that doesn’t fire, has a flock of birds and a little girl swinging on the barrel? He designed it to be a functional art piece.

The gun rack organizer is laser cut from 1/4″ acrylic and can be arranged such that there is more shelf space or to sit closer or further from the wall. You can purchase it either black or white for $100 from the designer’s Etsy Store. – Via
