Honestly speaking this is the first time I’ve seen wooden flooring on the ceiling and walls, to create such a warm atmosphere that appeals. I agree that black and white mix really well when it comes to walls and furniture, but Kata‘s modern retail interiors in Japan are simply amazing. Sounds like the perfect solution if you plan on opening up a clothing store or even a restaurant, and just want to ditch those white walls we’ve all been used with. Blends in with style, isn’t it?

It’s hard to see any contrast in the first picture, it almost feels like a big sauna with wall to wall, roof to floor floorboards. The other images probably do the design more justice, the contrast in the wood grain in different directions works well.
This is the most beautiful, most manly room I have ever seen in my life.
