Do you remember the 1964 House For Sale in London that we scooped last week? Today we have another one. It’s much cheaper and I can say has a higher dose of both modernism and minimalist design. Designed and built in 1967 by architect Colin Huntley, this beautiful three-bedroom terrace house has been highlighted in the famous Buildings of England series.

The house has been under intensive remodeling by STUDIO Blueboat who had the mission to make the living-room/dining-room larger and to move the kitchen into a specially designed zinc, steel and oak extension. Featuring a small courtyard garden at the front and a larger enclosed garden at the rear, the house makes it easy for those that want to live “close to nature”.

On the inside, everything looks perfect, lined up, with the right colors and large glasses to allow the sun rays inside. The best of them all, I think it’s the open-up living-room, with the large couch and the white walls. What do you like the most? Oh and I forgot. That house is for sale, for £325,000.

No, the Japanese are not only good with Sushi and electronics. Apparently they also have great designers and architects or at least that’s how I jump to conclusions after seeing thie modern white sea house. It was put up by Takao Shiotsuka Atelier in Japan and is a 237 sq m two-floors white buildng with a shape that spreads gently towards the sea. Painted in white, with extremely large windows that allow sun-rays inside and a modern but minimalist interior, it’s a stunning piece of design. If I were to change something, that would be a little bit of contrast … it’s too whitey, don’t you think? How about some black and red shapes? – Source

I always thought that you need to buy special tools to do your garden work and household chores but I never imagined that you can have a robot, actually helping you out – doing them for you, that is. Leading robot manufacturer, iRobot, announced that their Looj is able to clean your home’s gutters faster and easier than we do it with our hands. Designed for standard K-style, aluminum, copper, metal or vinyl gutters that are wider than 3.25m, the 19-inch long and 13-inch wide iRobot Looj will only take 10 minutes to clean a sixty foot length of gutter. Oh and did I telly you Looj is waterproof and comes with a wireless remote control? I’d love to try this thing …

What, you though only Dubai and China have the most stunning buildings in the world? Guess again, because EDITT Tower (“Ecological Design In The Tropics”) will be built in Singapore with the financial support of their National University and should be the most eco-friendly in the country. The most interesting thing is that this 26-storey building will use photovotaic panels and will be wrapped in organic local vegetation that will act as a living wall insulator. More to it, the skyscraper was designed to collect rain-water, both for plant irrigation and for its “needs”. If you want to congratulate someone, T.R.Hamzah & Yeang have had their hands on the project. They’re responsible with the pictures below. – via Inhabitat

The only things I need to buy in my apartment are the draperies and a new sofa. You can’t imagine how time consuming that is (unless you had to do it, too) with all those models up there, if you’re a picky customer like me. But things may change today, because I’ve just seen the Rolf Benz VERO sofas and at least a couple of them would blend in perfectly with my living-room.

From what I see these guys have the experience to build long-lasting modern sofas that offer a highly comfortable seating experience and first-class quality. Secondly most important for a sofa, after the design, is how practical it is. Well the new Rolf Benz VERO was designed for everyday use, and that says it all.
It’s an 116cm wide and 170cm long sofa, with a luxurious touch and if the leather is not for me, the textile Rolf Benz VERO sofa is exactly what I need at the moment. Just need to see if these guys ship overseas. Will keep you posted. – via Shearydi
