The pain disappeared within a few weeks, but over the subsequent years, a much more indidious problem crept up on me. Sitting in an Aeron, due to the tight hammock of material that supports your hips, will slowly stretch your hips apart and interrupt the normal functioning of your hip flexors. It took me four years but I finally realized what was going on, and consigned the Aeron to the corner of my office. Every once in a while, I'll sit in it just to check, and within ten minutes I'll start to feel tingling on the back of my legs. None of these high-tech ergonomic chairs can cover up the fact that it's completely unnatural for a human being to spend 8+ hours a day sitting down! I bought an Aeron in response to lower back pain.
