Designed by m_creative, the Chaise Lounge CL2 from the series Future Furniture it’s a simple and friendly seatings that adopts a curved body that looks elegant. In a very subtle way, this chaise lounge also offers two subtle slots for stacking books, magazines or other odds and crafts. The choice of upholstery includes fur, leather, twill or even velvet. Finally the design looks very modern, and stylish, but I doublt about the level of comfort that this chaise lounge can offer. – Via

Skateboarding, the act of both riding on and performing tricks using a skateboard, is more and more popular these days. Here on Freshome we presented a few pieces of furniture inspired by the skateboard culture, the skateboard shelf, and a few other pieces of skateboard inspired furniture. Today again inspired by the skateboard culture here is an example of using skateboards at something they are not used to. At the Roarockit Skateboard School in Toronto, they used skateboard decks to build a stairway. The builder says “The aluminium beam is a solid billet of aluminium and the decks were custom made with concave only on one edge. You should see the look on our students faces when they make the treck to the basement.” I’m pretty sure that every skater would love to have something like in his own house .. – Via

Artist and furniture maker Sara Huston created this table with an indented space for magazines for those who to display reading materials on their coffee table but keep it neat at the same time. The design is simple, in a few words it can be described as a table with a hole where you can put a few magazines. Personally I don’t buy printed magazines, and I don’t read to many printed magazines, so this table would be useless for me. Anyway if you liked this design by Sara Huston you can see more of her work in her Coroflot portfolio or at sara-huston.com. – Via

This table from these pictures is just a concept, but a concept that is easy to put into practice. Now this table is supposed to save some space and one of the table legs comes with a L-shaped slot which can be used to hold the basket, in case you need any extra shelf. – Via
