Hi Michael!
Thanks for keeping up this great site, I’ve been checking it regularly since I found it about one month ago. I have a bit of an artist’s soul so I love art in any form…especially for around the house. I’m studying French and my passion is world music. I have a new blog where I post the best of YouTube music…and it’s better in a way because there’s no comment wars on my blog lol.
Be well!

This is Andi sending greetings from Amsterdam! I’m an editor and writer, as well as a recovering Texan. I’m currently afloat on my houseboat with a grass roof, which is moored on a lovely canal in the heart of a very special and watery city.
I’m always searching for clever ideas to use in my space-challenged boat and seem to return to your blog often (if nothing else it’s fun to browse – somewhat enviously – through photos of large interiors). Cheers!
p.s. anyone who’s up for the design challenge of a one-room houseboat in Amsterdam is more than welcome to give it a go…

Lori from Kentucky. I’m currently a sophomore at Transylvania University. After getting into a single room and actually being able to decide what it was going to look like, I started looking through interior design sites and found this. This blog is now part of my daily routine, I check it all the time just to see all the cool things posted here. Even though decorating is very limited with a dorm room, all it takes is a little inspiration to be able to come up with something nice. I think what sets my room apart from others like mine is that mine looks like an adult lives in it. Most of the dorms I see are of the neon-pink-and-green variety, which just hurts my eyes to look at. Our rooms by default have white walls and white floors, so I built a modern look around that with black (to offset all the white) and vibrant reds. I’m infinitely more comfortable in this room than I would be if I actually made it look like a dorm, because it keeps the whole feeling of “I’m away from home in a dorm room” from pressing on you–I just feel like I’m in a different home, and that’s way better.
Until I started reading your blog, I had no idea how to go about assembling a room. But after seeing photo upon photo on this site, I got so many ideas that I’m now incredibly comfortable in my dorm room, something that I never thought I’d say.
Thanks for making such a great blog, not only have you made my dorm experience excellent, but I must say that when I get a real apartment, I’ll have even MORE excellent ideas for it spawned from this blog.
My name is Jenny and I am a high school student who is very interested in design. I’ve looked at graphic design, interior design, artistic videography, and photography. Your blog is great.
