There is nothing more mesmerizing than watching the flames in a fireplace on a chilly night. However, fireplaces are usually set in the wall of a living room or consists of some fire pit outside in the garden. This means you have to be where the fireplaces are in order to enjoy them. Wouldn’t be nice if you could have a fireplace wherever you are? Now you can. Here are two portable and flue-less fireplaces that you can use either indoors or outdoors. Put them on the floor, the patio pr even a shelf or table top and you’ll have an instant fireplace.

The Travelmate by the German design firm, Conmoto is a black powder coated steel design which uses biofuel in a hidden tank. To light the fire, just remove the glass pane which is held in place by magnets. A stainless steel slide on the front of the fireplace regulates the flames by opening or closing the fuel tank.
The Uni Flame is also another German design which resembles an aquarium. It costs 998 Euros and although the product datasheet lacks the information, it likely also uses environmentally friendly fuel like the Travelmate. Both designs certainly offer ambiance in stylishly compact designs. – Via and Via

A few days ago I’ve received an email from a reader called Marko, and the email said :
Thank you for this so nice blog! Just one small suggestion, I am sure it’s nothing original, yet why don’t you put those buttons that enable us viewers to share content of your blog on sites like Facebook, Myspace and similar? Few times I wanted to post something I saw here on Facebook, but there just was no such option…
Keep up this good work anyway!
Until I’ve got this email I’ve never thought that people want to share things from my blog on social web communities like Facebook, Myspace, etc … but after I’ve got this email I’ve said to myself to add an option that will let share the content from this blog with their friends. Now as you can see in the screenshot attached below at the end of every post you have a “Share This!” button that will allow you to share something you like with your friends. ( ShareThis allows you to easily share to any of your friends by importing your contacts from Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpace, AIM, Outlook, and more. )Finally I would like to ask people if they find this new option useful, and tell me in a comment what they think about this ..

People like to have things, lots of things, and sometimes they gather so many things that the lack of space becomes a problem. And as the time passes, this problem seems to grow bigger and bigger. To solve this problem Eamon Stevenson designed a dual-purpose sofa concept, a two-in-one combination of sofa and storage box. The design doesn’t looks to good, but the idea is something that could be very useful in a small space, and who knows maybe someone will see this idea and make the design looks better. – Via

Did you know that when you leave a power cable plugged into an outlet without even turning it on will still sip some power from the grid, and this will definitely affect your power bill at the end of each month. To combat this massive amount of wasted energy, designer Paulo Oh has come up with a simple plan, to unplug them. His solution is called “Hang On Outlet” and provides a “shelf” for you to hang unplugged power cords while they aren’t in use. This idea might help you save some money on your monthly energy bill, but is also a good idea for organizing your power cords, as we all know that sometimes they can be really messy. – Via

Oriana is a chaise lounge in wood designed by Genovese David Conti, that is supported by a structure of letters going that spell the word “Design”. This product is a really innovative idea and I can say that this is the first time when I see this approach, using letters as legs. After I’ve saw this design I thought that for a chaise lounge the word “Relaxation”, “Relax”, “Rest”, “Sleep” would be more appropriate. – Via
