The Pianobell is an innovative approach to the old doorbell by Li Jian. As you can see from the picture attached bellow the Pianobell was inspired by a piano. This concept is great because it allows your visitors to perform a short piece of music on this small “instrument”, and is something that you’ve never saw before.

That’s exactly what designer Li Jian had in mind when he came up with the Pianobell. Unless you are friends with a lot of talented musicians, I don’t see much of an upside here. On the other hand, it could be amusing to torture your FedEx guy with a bizarre form of performance anxiety. Fortunately for him, the Pianobell is only a concept at this point. Wow, where can I get one? At least tell me how to build one myself.
Zach – As I wrote in this post, this is just an idea, a concept for now unfortunately, but who knows maybe you have a friend who is electrician, and likes to make DIY projects.
That is totally a commerical idea – how cool would that be? I’d be so annoying on Halloween though
HI VERY NICE ONE IF I WANT IT HOW I CAN GET IT AND HOW MUCH IT IS I’M FROM LEBANON
Well stop talking about it and make the damn thing!
we want one too.
now.. if this will be an.. security lock…
no more numbers.
I think the idea here is to tell your regular frinds thier own special “song” to play when they come, so you know it’s them. Kind of like Caller ID for your doorbell. Great! Where and when can I buy one?
